Class Structure

Each dance class will begin with a warm-up in order to prepare the body and prevent injuries. The warm-up will consist of various stretching and strengthening exercises to help increase flexibility, strength, and control. Dancers will learn various combinations, movement sequences and intricate choreography, set to different musical styles and tempos. Dancers will learn, practice and then perform these combinations in class, and all class material will be specific to the type of dance, age, and ability level.

All recreational classes will perform in the year-end showcase performance, which is held every year in late May. Each class will perform a dance in the recital with full costumes, professional sound and lighting. Please note: Sessional Programs will not perform in the year-end showcase, however all full-season classes will perform in the showcase, including the younger Pre-Dance students.
